FerryFriend: The Ultimate Tool for Washington State Ferries Riders
FerryFriend is an iPhone application that provides riders of the Washington State Ferries with the ultimate tool to plan their trips. The app offers real-time schedule predictions, cached schedules, and a round trip and one-way fare schedule. Additionally, the app includes a dark mode for nighttime use, easy-to-read schedules, and a live vessel position map that allows users to see where their ferry is in real-time.
FerryFriend also provides users with information on reservation availability, and users can make reservations and set reminders for when spaces will be available. Furthermore, the app allows users to star their frequently used routes for quick access to the schedule and next sailing times and shows ferry line cameras on a map so users can easily see how long the line is before they arrive.
The app also includes WSF alerts and allows users to optionally get push notifications for alerts. Finally, the app allows users to scan their ferry tickets to check on remaining uses, save their tickets in FerryFriend to use at the tollbooth, or to easily share with friends.
FerryFriend is available for free on the App Store and is licensed as a full version app.
